The Couper is our unofficial drinks chair, with arms wide and flat enough to hold a libation. We channeled the purity of Scandinavian mid-century modernism in our robust aluminum. This super strong chair requires high heat to fuse such ultra heavy parts.

Handcrafted in high-performance aluminum, coated in any of our 26 finish colors.

Outdoor furniture cushions available in our Outdoor Performance Textiles or Customer’s Own Material.

The unsupported span of the back rail is a testament to the strength and durability of our aluminum.
Very complicated finishing and welding work which belie the elegant simplicity of the frame.

Outdoor Furniture Cushions

Cushions for the Couper Collection are box construction without welting.

C.O.M. yardage indicated above is based on 54" (1.4m) wide plain goods. Please speak with your sales representative regarding C.O.M. calculations for multiple pieces and/or C.O.M. with repeats.
High Performance Outdoor Furniture Cushions in a selection of Italian Performance Fabrics are included in the Beginning At price. Your fabric selection may modify the final price.
Our High Performance Cushion interior is a dacron wrapped reticulated foam core which allows moisture to pass through and will never hold water like a sponge.
Our High Performance Furniture Cushions are designed to stay outdoors and will hold their shape over time and will not pack down.
Seat and ottoman cushions in all McKinnon and Harris textiles and C.O.M. are made with a vinyl open weave mesh underside which releases moisture and allows the cushions to dry more quickly.
Our High Performance Cushions are sewn with the PTFE threads, the same threads used by America’s Cup Yachts. Unaffected by exposure to UV rays, harsh cleaning agents, pollution, saltwater, rain, snow, cold and rot.

Couper Club Chair seat cushions have snap ties to secure the cushion to the furniture frame. Snap ties for back cushions are optional for an additional charge and are recommended for windy locations.

Protective Covers

A custom fit Protective Cover is available. Please specify CVR-2804A.

Protective Covers are custom fitted and made from a breathable, water repellent High Performance Marine Protective Fabric made of 100% solution dyed acrylic with a soft tricot polyester underside.
Protective Covers for our outdoor estate furniture are not recommended in high wind areas.
Protective Covers are designed to be used with the custom outdoor cushions in place.
