Our London Showroom
ABOUT OUR LONDON SHOWROOM
Our flagship London showroom’s restrained palette of a spectrum of whites emphasizes the subtlety and understatement that distinguishes McKinnon and Harris. Bathed in light, the showroom is evocative of a sunlit outdoor space. The ethereal transparency of the light combined with the white palette creates an interesting contrast with the sculptural form and graphic quality of the outdoor furniture. The presence of extraordinary antiquities throughout the showroom is a genuine reflection of our philosophy of permanence and timeless design aesthetic.
The restriction to the color white recalls the work of legendary British designer Syrie Maugham, credited with decorating the first room entirely in shades of white. The whiteness of the space recalls many timeless and iconic works: the worn desert bones immortalized by Georgia O'Keeffe, the white marble of the Acropolis, Greek statuary washed white with time.
